Utilize the layer or filter structure to easily compare geometries. The system automatically compares both structure trees to each other – without having to open the files. Irrelevant parts of the structure tree can be ignored. The geometry comparison is started only after deciding which parts of the files are relevant. They are then displayed or stored as usual. This enables the fast location of all relevant differences and commonalities, even in large files with complex products.
The tool-tilt direction is now easy to determine during calculation in the MSURF and RSURF functions. Interactively check the selected tool-tilt direction and correct it with the click of a button. The selected tool tilt direction is then used for the programming.
Combine any number of cuboid blanks to a layered blank. The individual cuboids can be easily created and adapted as required. In addition, the system creates a bill of material, including the volume used, for the manufacturing department. This allows a rapid determination of what raw materials are required – a very important capability, particularly in model making.
Any complex surface combination can now automatically and easily be deformed using topological deformation rules. Show the complex deformation requirements in multiple surfaces and transfer them with a high level of accuracy to any complex surface model with just the click of a button. Extensive preparations, including splitting surfaces, are now a thing of the past.
In NC programming, the job manager and machining function masks are hidden temporarily when the dialogs for tool, machining elements, strategy, macro, or technology are called up. This ensures that the graphic area in the main window is not covered unnecessarily.
The MVERT function for plunging operations has been enhanced with some fine details. Offsets for vertical faces and base surfaces can now be specified independently of each other. Use the ”Clearing” parameter to position the first plunging path outside the specified material and start the plunging to the left or the right of the chosen vertical surface.
The functions for deep-hole drilling have been expanded significantly. Bore features can be combined with one another and gap areas are marked. The traversing speeds can be individually and flexibly adjusted for machining with differing tool lengths, significantly reducing manufacturing times. If the final depth of the drilled hole is larger than the insert depth of the tool, the drilling depth can be limited. The cutting data for intersections, material entry and exit, as well as approach and retract strategies can be optimized. Everything needed to automate deep-hole drilling is provided.
Use the new STEP export interface to export Tebis CAD data into the universal STEP format. It’s another advantage of using Tebis’s powerful and user-friendly CAD functions.
Simulate the traversing paths of electrodes with the TSIMU standard function. The electrode can now be checked for collisions independently of the electrode module using the Tebis Viewer.
Assign any number of NCSets to a feature for automatic 2.5D drilling and milling. If the tool for the first NCSet is not available in the tool library, the system searches the alternative NCSets in the order they are listed until a suitable NCSet is found.
Mill chamfers with the MCONT function. The chamfer does not even need to be fully designed – just specify the sharp edge and start milling, chamfer included.
